New Look & Name

Hey Everyone! I have finally created my Facebook page for the blog and my TpT store. I will be adding an Instagram page very soon.

You may notice the web address has changed. I will be officially changing the blog name and store name to Harper's Hangout!

Back to School

We started back to school after Labor Day. This will be my third year teaching the Terrific Toucan classroom and I realized I never showed this classroom when I switched a few years ago. I did not have my good camera with me when I took these so sorry for the bad quality! This was also the day we got to meet our class and the last two pictures are a few fun things we gave each student to welcome them as well as the information we set out on our tables.

Aaaah! I have been gone way too long! So sorry for that! Life definitely took over and got crazy! I can't wait to update everyone in the upcoming school year on everything me and my class will be doing. I also have many new products I can share with everyone!

Play Doh Fun

I teach preschoolers so of course we love to have fun with Play Doh. I try to make all kinds of different Play Doh mats to use during centers. I made this new set of mats using numbers and ten frames. Let the students have some fun while learning!

Terrific Toucans Alphabet Book

Each school year, I choose a different way to showcase the alphabet with the students. Where I teach, we learn three specific letters a month. This year, I decided to create an alphabet book. As we learned each letter, the children created a craft using the letter. I know you have probably seen many ideas like this on Pinterest or other websites but I wanted to share mine with you as well! I laminated each set of letters for each child and used a binder ring to hold them all together. I made a special cover for each child's alphabet book also.

My Apologies...

I feel like I apologize a lot to y'all for being absent! The past year and a half has been crazy for my family. My father has been very sick and recently passed away from ALS. I apologize for not posting all my school fun for y'all! I took pictures of my crafts and activities throughout the school year but never posted! I will post what I can now and I will have plenty to add throughout the upcoming school year.

Hooray, Hooray, It's the 100th Day!

Well, I live in the South where school starts early - August early! So, our children celebrated the 100th Day of school on January 20. This was the first year I have really had to get one of my own children involved with the 100th Day! We had tons of fun prepping for it - she had to dress up as a 100 year old lady, makes poster with 100 objects and they had a big 100th Day party!

Last year, I decided to create two fun sets of 100th Day activities and worksheets. Both sets are for sell on Teachers Pay Teachers. Also, I have an Etsy site and on there I sell the 100th Day t-shirt iron on transfers as well as the 100th Day treat bag toppers!

Her 100 Day poster - I have a girly girl who loves her bows so what better way to show the 100th Day than a girl with 50 bows on each pigtail! She painted the poster and put the eyes on with adhesive foam pieces.She then glued the yarn on for hair. I created the yarn pigtails and hot glued them for her. She tied each ribbon in a knot for me and I made the bows out of that.
