Muffins for Moms

As I sit here and plan out this year's Muffins for Mom theme, it hit me I never shared last years with everyone!  I have done several cute and different themes each year.  I always try to do something outside the box. I begin planning for the next year as soon as this year is over.   Last year I chose a Princess theme.  Sounds normal, right?!  Well, it is but I always try to do some fun and interesting centerpieces, crafts and gifts for the moms.

We always make super cute placemats for our moms.  I always try to do some type of handprint on their placemats so they can keep them forever!  Since our theme was "Princess", we did a castle handprint.  We added glitter clouds and used green chevron wash tape as the grass.

For one of the gifts, I had each mom and child send in a recipe that they like to make together along with pictures of them making it.  We created a class cookbook.

Another gift we gave our moms was scented salt scrubs.

Another gift we made was a decorative plate with Princess handprints.

For the table decorations, I made feather boa topiaries with princess crowns on the top and painted the pots with princess crowns.

I used some clip art I had for the place cards.

Here is a close up of one mom's seat:

Each year, each student makes a portrait of their mom and answers several questions all about her.

Then, they also made a vase of celery print flowers

And as always, one last picture of me and my sweet daughter.  This was her last year at preschool and our last Muffins for Moms together.  She started Kindergarten this year.
