Oh, I love this craft! I do this one every single year and it never gets old!! If you don't remember, I teach at a preschool in one of our local churches so crafts geared towards Bible lessons is super encouraged!
This craft incorporates not only the meaning of Christmas but our alphabet by using the letter "J." We always read a book about the Legend of the Candy Cane. Then I show the kids how the candy cane turned around is the letter J.
Each child gets a cutout of the letter J/Candy Cane and we help them paint stripes red. After it dries, the children add a yellow star cutout to the top of the J and sprinkle it with gold glitter. Next, I laminate them for sturdiness and myself or my aide will hot glue on the moss and a plastic baby.
