Wow... this was a project! I decided this past Summer, a handprint calendar would be the kids parent gifts for Christmas this year. So almost immediately when school started, I began doing handprints for them. I wanted to be able to give them an entire 2012 year calendar so we had 12 prints to do.
I searched the internet for poems and/or songs to go with each month as well. For the poem and handprint page, I did the poem on one column of the page and left the other side for the kids hands. Then I found a site to print monthly calendars with enough room to still write and attached all things to bright construction paper that would coordinate with the prints and the monthly theme! Hope you enjoy! Sorry for any shine to the pics - I took them after they were laminated!
Cover - Kids Faces
Handprint Poem
January - Penguins
February - Valentine's
March - Leprechauns
April - Easter
May - Butterfly
These are SUPER cute. I homeschool my son and we are going to make these this for him to give to his grandmothers for Christmas. I'm going to use "blank" calendars, however, so that after they are laminated they can be written on with dry erase and re-used year after year. Thank you SO much for such a cute gift idea.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you could share your super cute templates??? or at least the poems????
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
